Gardeners are being reminded to register soon for the annual Bay de Noc Gardening Conference in Escanaba. The deadline to sign up is April 4th, and Warren Schauer say only pre-registered participants will be accepted. The 26th annual conference is set for Saturday, April 18th at Bay College.

The Bonifas Arts Center is getting ready for its annual Artist Retreat at the center. Gallery Director Kate Oman says it is an opportunity for artist to get together. Oman and Noah Johnson talk about all the upcoming activities at the Bonifas in April.

Bay College plans to re-start its practical nursing in May at its Escanaba campus. The program was paused in early 2025 after failing to meet state approval from the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Bay President Nerita Hughes says applicants need to have completed the necessary prerequisite courses to enter the program.
